McGovern Civils was established by Tony McGovern in 1976 as McGovern Plant Hire. The company was incorporated into McGovern Plant Hire Ltd in 1991. Recently the company has been rebranded as McGovern Civils (trading as McGovern Plant Hire Ltd). This is mainly to reflect the nature of the work carried out by the company and the wide range of civil engineering services on offer.

McGovern Civils is based in Boyle, Co. Roscommon and has been part of the local community for nearly 40 years. While we operate  nationwide, we have always maintained support to the local community, through employment and sponsorship.
